World Book Day 2024

World Book Day 2024 was a huge success at Ashbrook School. Children came to school looking fabulously colourful either as characters from their favourite stories or in comfortable pyjamas.

There were opportunities to try and guess what our friends and teachers were dressed as along with times to share a story back in our classrooms.

Year 6 children from Two Mile Ash also joined us in the afternoon and spent time with our children from Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2. It was great to work together and show that we really are one IFtL family.

Mr Ainscow, who was Nicholas Nickleby for the day, led the assembly and some children came out to the front to talk about their outfits and stories. Mr Ainscow also shared a video of a fun retelling of the classic story ‘Peace at Last’.
