Phonics morning

Parents were invited in to watch three demonstration lessons. It was wonderful to see over 40 parents in our school hall. Children from across Ashbrook supported Mrs Cobley, Mrs Watkins and Mrs Sykes and were wonderful with their participation.

The demo lessons included as typical ‘speed sound lesson’ for A/B group, Red group and then Pink group.

Mr Ainscow talked about the importance of the structured approach to early reading here at Ashbrook.
